Day 1 (Monday)
After arrival at the fantastic Faroe Islands, a shuttle-taxi will take you to Hotel Streym***, which will be your home for the next 7 nights.
Day 2 (Tuesday)
You will be picked up at the hotel just before 9am, and the excursion is a full day trip to the northern islands. The mountains up north are characterized by being high and steep - and you will have the opportunity, to take several pictures from different spots where we will stop by. You will be able to see Fugloy, Svínoy, Borðoy and Kunoy, and we will be stopping by the beautiful church in Klaksvík, a wool factory and the Viking exacavations in Leirvík. You will be back in Tórshavn around 4pm.
Lunch is included in the trip.
Day 3 (Wednesday)
Today's excursion goes to Mykines. You will be picked up at the hotel at 8:30am. Mykines is the westernmost island of the Faroes, and famous for the very rich bird life, the mountains and the incredibly hike to the islet. You will get very close to the puffins, and the the nortern gannet soar majestically above the sea, around the island. Maybe you will even spot one of the many seals, that stay by the islet under the lighthouse.
You will be back at your hotel at 7pm.
Day 4 (Thursday)
By bus we drive via the mountain road to Vestmanna. The boat sails along the oæular bird cliffs and grottoes. If the weather allows it, the boat sails into a narrow strait, deep grottoes and close to the 600 m high wall, where thousands of seabirds breed. On tour we stop by the village of Leynar, where we can see handmade salmonstairs and one of the favourite beaches of the Faroese people, and we make a stop in Kvívík, where we explore the old Viking settlement.
Departure is at 12.30pm, and you will be back at 5.30pm.
Day 5 and 6 (Friday and Saturday)
These days are at your own disposal. We suggest you taking a tour through Tórshavn's
old tówn "á Reyni, and visit the world's oldest parliament "Tinagnes". There are several interesting museums to visit, and perhaps a lunch at the Nordic House. Enjoy the world's smallest capital with its maritime cafés, restaurants, designer shop or perhaps the shopping center SMS.
Day 7 (Sunday)
Today's departure is at 8:30am, and our destination is Sandoy - arguably the island
which has preserved most of the traditional Faroe Islands. After Sandoy we head
over to the old cultural stronghold in Kirkjubø, where you can see the world's
oldest wooden house, Roykstovan, from the year 1050, and which today houses the
17th generation of the Patursson family. You will also have the opportunity to
see the ruins of St. Magnus' catchedral from the 1300s and Olav's church from the 1200s.
You're back at the hotel at 6pm, and lunch is included in the trip.
